Sorry - operator error - Some forecasts are calling for Easterlies around 10(mph) Sunday morning. Thinking I might go do some longboarding. 8 til 11 looks like the time frame.
I went to Tidwell. When I arrived , it was around 10 mph, enough to get planing on an 8.5. Was good for about an hour, but it was pretty much over by 11. Probably missed the best of it, due to being too lazy to get out of bed. Anyway, nice call by Chris P.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Randy,
There were five of us at Galt's: Chris P., Eddy, Ted, Jimmy and myself. I saw one of them get a great jump off a wave, and a few of them doing some nice carves... The conditions were pretty nice, all of us planing for hours. With some advice from Chris P. I learned how to beach start, although it's pretty hard to do close to the jetty on the east side. Not too many boats until around lunch time, then it got a bit congested. I would say it was a great day for the middle of summer!
Wow, sounds like it was quite a bit windier at Galts, and lasted longer as well. I think this proves that the conventional wisdom that Lanier is a LOT windier than Galts is not true all the time. Too bad I was short on time or I might have gone to Galts instead of Tidwell.

I'll go if there's any wind...

That does sound good, maybe next time. Sunday AM is out for me.
So did anybody go to Galts? How was it?
