And, I, er, my friend still didn't finish last. The other guy happened to find a shopping bag with his foil. We both had a laugh afterwards.

I do believe that requires 6 penalty turns and replacement of the anchor line.
The thing is it really helps the kids* after you who were about to tack 2 yards below the mark.
Taking one for the team gets you post race beers.
