For those who are into camping, I highly recommend this place.
I had 2 great afternoons of windfoiling and hoping for more today. Flattest water I have foiled at with very steady winds - forget whitecaps, hardly rippling most of the time, yet I was on the foil 95% of the time for 20+ miles each day (limited by my energy). Granted large wing & sail (thus getting tired fast) and I lost some weight but I probably could have gone with smaller sail (might try today) - so hard to read the conditions given how calm the water looks.
Best bayside launch is about 1-1.5 miles from the campsites. Parking along the road next to the beach - with grass across the road where I rigged. Super deep - above my height in ~3 yards from shore. No sand dunes anywhere. Probably best for anything with N in it but I have been sailing with SE just great, with ocean on the east side practically a stone throw away (narrow peninsula).
Check it out if you’re into camping. 350miles from Roswell, 5.5 hrs towing my trailer (not speeding).

Great report - if you get the chance, get a GPS coordinate or similar so we can mark it on the wiki.
Must have been cool foiling on that flat water.
Looks like Pensacola Beach area
I just got back home as we are heading to Vogel state park tomorrow for most of the week. So unfortunately late for gps coordinates but I suspect I will make more trips there - loved the location for foiling. It’s Pensacola beach/bay, Fort Pickens State Park. I camped at their campground and foiled on the bay side, about 1.5miles from campground, right where the Fort and fishing pier are. Water was amazingly flat, only complained being how hard it was to read the wind. I foiled with 5.7 yesterday, again practically with no white caps and only small ripples.
Camped at Fort Pickens a few months ago and my experience mimics Hamdi's except for the smooth water. When I was there, wind was sideshore with substantial chop probably due to the several mile fetch. Looking at Hamdi's photos it looks like wind was side-off when he was there, hence the smooth water. Alternated days between windsurfing the 86L and winging. Between windsurfing, winging, biking and hiking, covered over 100 miles in a little less than a week. In addition to the location Hamdi launched from, I sailed from the bay side access just across from Langdons Beach(I didn't know Langdon had a beach, which begs the question, does he have more than one?). I windsurfed there, so not sure how far you would need to walk out before the water was deep enough to foil, though my guess is probably less than 100'. This is also the trailhead for the multi-use trail(mountain bikes welcome). Like Hamdi said, a great place for camping. Definitely exceeded my expectations.
