Euro Model (ECMWF ) now free

One of the most reliable and accurate of all forecasting models is now free although it has been available on some web sites like windy.com already. Maybe this will increase the accuracy of a lot of "weather websites" Yes 3

Re: Euro Model (ECMWF ) now free

Seen on a weather blog - the GFS has become much more accurate after a big refresh a couple of years ago but this time of year, gets a lot of grief because it doesn't model tropical system intensity very well (overestimates) past 72 hours. It tends to be pretty good with genesis and decent with potential path but cries Cat 5 wolf fairly often.

Case in point (well Cat 3/4 wolf at least Biggrin
