The day wasn't a complete waste early on. Decided to try Chris' old terraboard with a 4.4 sail. Boy - am I out of shape. I was pretty shocked at how much work that was. After a while I decided to try one my hand kites - my 3M flex. It was obvious how much easier it was. However, I could jibe through turns with the sail (with a lot of foot pressure), but not with the kite (my lack of skill). OTOH - you don't really need to - the board is a "twin tip" so just change directions. I'm adjusting the board for to make it turn easier and see what happens.

Yeah. A few weeks ago I was there and this young couple comes up and asks if I know of any parks nearby where there is a beach. I said - yeah right here and showed them where it would be if there wasn't all the water.

With full sun the wind died early. Started to rig a 7.0m, then sailed my 8.5m on a couple of good runs and that was all there was.
