Hmmm, I didn't see anyone in NY carrying a board, sail, mast, boom, extension, U-joint, fin, booties, boom bra, wai-wai pad, tools, etc.

Someday, I'll share with you my story of making the mistake with a couple of buddies on getting on a Tokyo commuter train with bikes (in shoulder bags which were/are popular there- see pic below) on what we thought was a relatively empty train late on a Friday. By the end of the night, we'd set Japan/US relations back years.
