Day 5 in Nags Head

In response to:
"Barrett we need some follow up reporting and photos.
I want to hear stories of warm water and at least 15 mph winds"

So far we've windsurfed every day. Day 1 was warm (no wetsuit) & SW wind 7.0 sail 122L. Day 2 a cold front came through with side shore NNW wind. I wore my spring 3-2 suit, 6.0 sail flattened with 111 wave board. Day 3 The wind came up mid-day W side-onshore we wore shorty's & spring suits, 7.0m 111L . Day 4 I was forced to rig my 8.5m & sailed powered up on my 122L board in the morning.

Day 5 Alain, Philip & I each de-rigged a sail and drove over the ocean side to sail at Coquina Beach near Bode Is. Lighthouse about 6 miles south of our house. The Ocean was 60F, but the air temp was in the mid-upper 70's. Wind was side-offshore with small waves breaking on the near-shore sandbar. The wind picked up from 20 to 25mph+. I brought my 7.0 sail, which turned out to be too big, but I flattened it & sailed fully powered. We had a blast sailing in the ocean & Alain & I surfed the waves. Alain is an animal. Phil & I returned starved & exhausted, but Alain got back to the house as the sun was setting & headed out for a 2nd session on the Sound with his 5.8m sail & a small board.

Re: Day 5 in Nags Head

Great Friday session in Nags Head with Barrett and the rest of the crew. By late afternoon, sails from 5.2-4.2 were the call.
