Poorly written article. Was this some bomb that was always there, but now has been uncovered in the sand, did float there and get stuck on the beach, or was planted there? (The latter seems unlikely - if someone planted it seems they would want to do more than blow up some sand and (maybe) the old lighthouse. Who hates lighthouses? Not even the Joker blew up a lighthouse.....)

Pretty sure I read in another article that it washed up on shore. When I was driving home the waves were huge after a couple days of strong NE winds.
