Just a quick sailing report. Elizabeth and I just got back from Savannah (no one else from Atlanta made it). We had excellent 4.7/4.2 wind with some 'humbling' swell. The shorebreak was challenging at times, but not crazy out-of-control challenging. It was great to drop into some real waves -- on a weekend none the less.
It is kind of long day trip, but it was definitely worth the trouble this time.

My sessions at Sullivan's Island (Charleston) were challenging and fun, but definitely not easy sailing. I 'm about to conclude that I don't like NE there as much as I thought I did. The waves were big and good, especially Sunday, but the wind was terrifically gusty and holey. I sailed 4.7 both days, but a rangy 5.7 would have been much better. There were some people doing some good down theline sailing. I was sailing pretty conservatively as I kind of beat myself up Saturday right off the bat. Hey Mimi - How was Gaults?
