Santa came thru and gave me great Fully powered 6.5 conditions on the St. John's river in Jacksonville Florida on Christmas Day. The winds were WNW in the upper 'teens I would guess. I was windsurfing at a place called the county dock off Mandarin road. This is just to the South of I-295 as the highway crosses the river and on the Eastern riverbank. On the West side of the river is Orange park and a big mall. On the East side is state road 13 and I-95 that lead North into downtown Jacksonville( also on the St Jonh's river). The river is over 3 mi wide where I was sailing yet the water seemed smoother than Lanier for a similar wind. The water is brackish at this point in and has a brown tint - it looks a little like tea - to put it nicely. It was pretty warm out, in the 50's.
Hope Santa delivered in Atlanta as well. Merry Christmas.
