I joined The Lost Boys over there a few years ago on longboards. We were underpowered and finished with Hobies and other beach cats. Zach Marks won it on a kite foil. iirc his average speed was close to 40 mph.

fyi for those interested or maybe a family member is, that same weekend is the Cooper River Bridge (the big 'un) Run/Walk. Runners usually end up on King St afterwards and it's a fun time.
If you wanted to do the F2B and wanted a non-sailing family member or friend to come with you, it might be a good weekend.
