We are starting to see kites on Lanier.

We had one fellow who, most likely without realizing the possible consequences, was flying a trainer overhead (and upwind) of the beach area at Vann's T the other weekend.

If you are considering the sport, lessons and a firm grasp of safety equipment and procedures is essential. The cost of !@$%ing up is serious injury or death to you and others.  Kiting is a beautiful sport but the hazards are significantly different from windsurfing.
