Bic Jungle Windsup on FB

Saw this on facebook and unlike most online listings it is nearby. I don't all that much about this particular board, but it was a fairly popular windsup circa -2008 or so. Has a daggerboard, which is kind of unique but to retract it, it has to be pulled out. In some ways that's an advantage (smaller slot for water to flow in), and in others a disadvantage (a bit awkward to change very often on the water.) I'd say it is better than a removable center fin, but not as useful as a true centerboard. Price seems reasonable, if it is in as good of shape as in the pictures.

How would this work for a beginner?
Would need a 5.5 sail to go with it but I think Webguy has some in stock…

It hasa daggerboard so it should easy for a newbie to get upwind (and if not, they can paddle back.) Also it's pretty wide and floaty so should be easy to sail. If there is not enough wind it can be paddled. Probably not as easy as a dedicated (wide, short) WS beginner board like a Start, but has use other than windsurfing and is probably a lot more fun in light wind than the usual starter boards.

Eric, if you decide not to go with this, let me know so I can share it to the FB group. I like to give web site visitors first dibs. Biggrin
