The honeycomb windsurfing board construction may be similar to honeycomb aircraft construction. I once flew a four-place plane, known as the Grumman Tiger, with honeycomb bonded construction. The plane was light and fast for its size. I'll have to look into Patrik boards that are foil compatible. Thanks for pointing this out.
Pretty interesting - this guy names Patrik Airinside is making hollow boards.
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Apparently, it's a windsport trend: https://windsportatlanta.com/content/when-your-name-airton-111419
Although, I should add that I wouldn't trust that second guy to make a lightweight hollow board.
Gee William, perhaps he doesn't really need lighter board. Have you told him about foiling?

I don't know that I have yet.

For mature audiences. Contain scenes of violence.
Patrik's hollow, honeycomb construction sure looks like superior, leading edge technology for both windsurfing and foiling board design.
