flip, tell me you thought it was windy Sunday. It was killing me watching you and the Scottster (sorry, Scott, but you need a handle, lest we confuse you with Shred Dog) sailing big stuff while I couldn't figure out how to get back downwind on my little 4.5 with it's badly flapping leech.
As long as the water stays reasonably warm, it's a blast.
You know it's windy # 48: You try to waterstart in a lull and while you hang there a swell comes by and you surf down fast enough to get out of the water...
full on 5.5 forsure
itwas just like the 4.2 at the Gorge this
summer bleed as much speed and bend the
knees more than u think
the crack in my board under my front starboard
foot helped
me take on ballast
a couple of gusts took the 20mph aparrent wind
to a totally sheeted out 30mph true wind
did you outhaul all the way total flat?
pretty flat, not totally flat- flat enough to go upwind like a Mike's Lab even with my little 28 cm curtis ;D
It was easier to whine than pull anymore outhaul out. I'll try to remember next time- I did yank on it once, I guess I should have again. I'll practice my ducks so it'll give me more opportunity to be close to the boom in the water.
if this keeps up, I might make a jibe this year
