Add another frequent flyer to the family

Jon D is hooked. More like hook line and sinker.
He is learning on a Tilly foil board and aluminum Moses w/790 wing, Jon did much better than I did my first few times out, which really isn’t saying much but he did get some impressive runs.
I imagine he will have some Formula gear and big sails for sale soon.

For the new folks, Lake Juliette is in between Atlanta and Macon. It’s flat water and very few small boats make it a great place to learn.
SW days are the best there.

Alan

It's about time!

Lake Juliette and Jon hold a special place in my windsurfing past. I know most Atlanta folks don't know Jon, but he goes way back in the central GA windsurfing 'scene'. There was a solid group of 6-7 windsurfers back in the early 90's, but Jon was the first 'real' windsurfer I had ever met. As a broke college student back in '92 who knew nothing about sailing but wanted to windsurf, Jon took me under his wing and passed down advice and high quality used gear at broke-student prices. It was always a treat to visit his office where he had a rack full of custom boards and quivers of top-end sails and gear down in the basement. We would often spend so much time down there talking gear that one of his employees would have to drag him back upstairs to get back to work. Good times!
