I live in Cary, NC and am relatively new to windsurfing but I committed to the sport but purchasing last month a Fanatic Viper and rig. I see there is a 3 day course in Hatteras by ABK in October. I wanted to see if anyone else is interested and might want to share expenses on a motel room. I thought about camping but would prefer a room after further thought.

If you don't find anyone to share a hotel room, there are a good number of AirBNB rentals (including single rooms) available in the Outer Banks. Prices would probably be less than most hotels. Since you would be taking lessons you wouldn't need to get one of the more expensive places on the water. If you are into camping that is also an option at OBX.

I have a house rented in Avon from October 12th-19th with a couple of bedrooms available. Not sure what dates you are looking at..
Thanks for the offer but I was looking at the 3 day on the 25th. I will look into the other option suggested for renting a room on a house. If anyone does have plans for attending that week let me know if your interested in rending a room out.
Thanks for the AirBNB suggestion. I found a place and never would have thought of that as an option. The family goes there almost every year but we use the realty companies. This worked out perfect.
