Add your name (or any words or simple symbols) for $28 extra. Coo-uhl, huh?
This sail is feather-light but is the ultimate in durability. It will outlast you. It's a all-dacron (vinyl window) sail framed in kevlar. Unique, smooth ride that is springloaded. For intermediate to experienced sailors (but I even teach with my 4.2.)
You may have seen the lightweight Chris Campbell and the not-so-lightweight Danny Johnson (or myself) on the all-black "Freaks" at the lake. We love 'em! We sail the 4.7 and 4.2 and we're all getting bigger ones now that they offer them. They were so successful in '03 in Hawaii and Europe that this year HOT is offering in 8 sizes: 5.8, 5.5, 5.3, 5.0, 4.7, 4.5, 4.2, 3.5. Photos of them are all over the hot shots in the magazines, too. NOTE: These sails do require a high-carbon content mast, at least 60%. They do sail "differently"
I'm sending the order in on Nov. 26th. Let me know
(Excellent close-outs of Neil Pryde semi-dry top-of line suits in '03, '02, '01 models still available.)

Not in the market for a sail right now but I'm curious (sure you'll all agree.)
Can you describe how they feel more than "differently?"
May your water be smooth and your winds be swift.
The best way I can descibe them as they feel elastic. In that during a gust there is a slight pause then acceleration, rather than almost instant jerk when sailing a monofilament sail. I also feel you get a little more power out of them since the luff is loose. One final note, if you take notice of all the photography used to advertise tv, cameras etc, they used to use windsurfer's with the vibant colors of the dacron sials. This will help put us back on the map, and you will have this sail for many years. Jeff uses a newer lightweight, low-stretch dacron and reinforces the sail with Kevlar in areas that would be subject to stretching.
