12/5 dots

Anyone going Saturday?
I'm keen once it warms up a bit. Looking good for Van's tavern around noon.

see ya when it warms up Stephan. We are probably missing the morning wind but I'm still not up for the cold.
Let me know if you want to do the Tidwell "slot".

Re: 12/5 dots

Guys - I think optimism is warranted. I was at MAP yesterday from about 9-12 and there were plenty of dots and whitecaps to go with them. The reported wind was only 10 MPH, but I think the gusts may have been up to 20. LLSC reported about dots up to 15. I didn't get wet since it was pretty cold, but I did get some good rides with a new kite design I have been working on. The kite in the video is only 2.9 M. I plan on getting to MAP early in hope the parking lot will be empty. If you decide to go to Tidwell later text me and I may drop by. Of course, you are welcome at MAP as well.

Here's my GPS track. Pretty cool how I was able to dodge all those cars.

For those who missed it - there were some pretty epic winds in the morning. He's a shot I took around 10am and my obligatory video du jour complete with webguy's favorite soundtrack. Check out the trees moving in the video to get an idea of how windy it was.
