I didn't measure the water temp today, but I felt the need to cool off in it, the 5/3 I was wearing. I wouldn't go for a 3/2 yet. Its almost there, but no!
Looking at 12:30/1pm arrival, for me, at van pugh. What's the water temperature, btw? My last sail was March 18th. Is it warm enough for a 3:2 and bare hands?
16:20 leaving Vanns, because I have to go to work, but did have a good day. 12 to 25mph wind, somewhat unidirectional. The gear was the new 24 Starboard Futura 120, paired with a 7.8 Severne Mach...
FWIW (if, by chance, anyone were contemplating Hartwell for Friday) . . . here's a glimpse of the launch and conditions at Singing Pines Rec Area (on the SC side, down by the dam) from late last...
It doesn't look like a great forecast - we're starting at 9 am to try to squeeze in races before the wind fades in the afternoon. For the longboards, it'll be a great weekend. Excited they are...
Whoa that's nuts. I was going to head up but the forecast looked very reminiscent of the super light wind we had here that fall. Looks like the forecast today vastly underestimated what it was...
Channey & I sailed the 2nd shift, as Webguy came in off the water. It was so nice to rig in the warm sun & not need gloves or mittens. We both windsurfed. I rigged a down-hauled 6.0m...
Gary, thank you so much for sharing the session with us. Even though I'd been out myself today, it still gave me great joy to read about another session - especially since it seems you were so...
Who’s going today, Friday afternoon???
Update William & Stewart plan to sail. ETOA at VP about 2PM.

Planing on putting to the test the new futura and myself Thursday early afternoon at Vanns Tavern. Who's with me?

Sorry about that - still some nice pics. You did better than this guy, though. He drove 1k miles and got this:

Photos from cloudy Austin, TX...
I hope to sail Friday afternoon.
Fascinating video, Randy. However, I have it on good authority that this guy is behind it all.
Those Babylonians would have loved baseball and all the stats.
We were at the East end where the wind funnels into a narrower space, so that evens it out some. But there were some "holes"
so cool!

You sure about the l-r? I haven't seen Fred in ages but I thought sure he was the guy on the left.

Nice. Nice, nice, nice
So I took the only shift at Hartwell (singing pines. It's open!!!)
Rigged a 5.0 and was pretty optimized for several hours. There were holes in the breeze...
Thu was a great session with Rhett and I - 45 min and plenty of wind for our ~ 5.0s winging.
