After 3 weeks wait, my Foil Drive Plus arrived via Fedex last Friday from Australia. Brian & his brother Chris at Fin&Foil in Fort Pierce took care of the ordering (no taxes, no shipping fee plus they handled customs perfectly - “dangerous goods”/batteries)
4 sessions last weekend at Acworth and Lanier: a blast!
If you are familiar with the concept, considering to order it and already foiling = reach out for a demo and possibly a test drive. (Webguy of course is first on the list!)
Very easy to set-up - lots of video on youtube explaining maintenance - endless opportunities to enjoy it
After few minutes of practice, I was e-foiling - each battery last about 20-30mn e-foil mode.
My 2 cents: don’t buy an e-foil, instead get Foil Drive Plus! (not the cedar project, you want the ability to move motor up and down the mast - and for price difference get a second battery)

My birthday is coming up in a couple of months... Thanks for the offer!
One thing about FD - it draws a crowd on the beach. When I'm putting the kit together I always get a number of curious onlookers with lots of questions. For me e-foiling it first (motor low on the mast) was definitely the key to figuring out how to use it with a sail.
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Actually my birthday was last month, which justified the purchase!
Planning to be tomorrow at Lanier, probably 2pm
Let me know where you would like to try it Webguy?
Flat water is preferred - but VP will work! (Parking might be issue)
Thanks but have some family stuff to do this weekend. I wonder if vp will be open. Probably worth monitoring Corps of Engineers FB page.
