Reggae 6/10-11

Gauging interest in racing at LLSC this coming weekend. The Reggae regatta is open to big boats and small, including us. With 5+ entries, we could have a separate start and we can make it anything we want- longboards vs foilers vs wingers vs kites?? There are a few extra raceboard hulls available (free), a Kona, an Equipe and Superlight II, (or you could score that sweet deal on Spreen’s IMCO).

I suggest making the go/no go call on Thursday p.m. based on the forecast. A wind forecast with a 10 in it is enough for me to make it interesting. Racing will likely be on a windward-leeward course and happens both days. Food, drink, music, free camping etc. Registration is $50, dinner $30.

Please weigh in here if you can make it and add your thoughts. Interested so far:

I'd normally be in but have a family commitment this weekend. If I can dance around part of it, I'll try to make Saturday but not likely that I can. Sad

As list above, am interested. Eager to play and hangout with other boarders there in any capacity. Would want to be able to participate for dinner too. Hopefully bring 12 yo daughter.

Not necessary. Club stopped doing child sacrifices to the wind gods several years ago. The neighbors complained. (Seriously, if she comes, hope she has a fun time.)

It's looking sub-optimal for Saturday then a bit more wind late on Sunday but with rain chances increasing. So, I'm gonna pass.

Thanks for the follow-up. I Hope the boarders will have opportunity to reunite at LLSC in the near future.

Somebody should have hired the Aztec priest. Wind arriving Mon-Wed. instead.

Has this been a crazy late spring or what?
