I skipped those extra cups of coffee & arrived at Vanns to find Alejo kiting & Howard rigging a 5.5m windsurfing sail & Hamdi de-rigging an 8.0m foiling sail. Hamdi arrived early & said the wind was light until 10AM. I windsurfed with a 7.0m & was rigged right for the mostly steady wind. William arrived & foiled with a 4.7m sail. The wind was side-shore, water was 72ºF & the sun even came out for a really fun time at Vanns.
Howard watching the action while taking a break at Vanns.
Wind held on until early afternoon. The cloud cover definitely helped. It would lighten up a bit when the sun shone through. I came off the water about 2 when I thought it was getting light but it kept on blowing.
Nice that the water has warmed as the pain in learning new things has lessened significantly.
I had a blast today, even tried out the AHD 77 and didn’t end up at Margaritaville, it was a great day, joined by Mike, Barrett, William, Gene, and Chris, thanks for all the good advice,
Yeah, the last couple of days have been nice and it looks like a few more ahead.
Note to everyone: the water is significantly warmer. This is a great time to push the envelope and try something new. Good breezes and, during the week, the water has been flat. I've been getting very wet trying stuff and slowly getting better at it.
I am strongly considering. Especially being a workday, I will lean towards Vanns due to the shorter drive.
Yeah, contrary to the impression I might give, I actually do have a full time job 😂. Lots of night time ‘make up’.
Tomorrow Sunday: Vann’s from 9am-11am to ride the gusts with 8M - will post in morning to confirm
Heading to Vanns, unsure gusts will be strong enough
Trying for Vann’s Monday and possibly Tuesday.
I'll head to Vanns Monday mid-morning & possibly Tues. as well.

Vanns mid-morning today (Mon)
Hope you guys are on the water right now (9:30) and not drinking your third cup of coffee.
Wind is blowing very good in Cumming
