Thursday Vanns

My coworkers really need for me to go sailing.

I will decide on dawn patrol or late afternoon session tonight.

Re: Thursday Vanns

I am definitely on the dawn patrol. East wind in the Afternoon never worked for me (that I can remember anyway) but I don’t know about late afternoon or evening as I am never one to miss dinner (with my wife) for any activity.
Vanns, likely 9ish but can go earlier if people are going earlier?

Check the radar before driving. The rain forecast for the Euro and HRRR are not promising.

Re: Thursday Vanns

I am not seeing rain until 11 - or possibly even 1pm according to some forecasts. I will be at Vanns early this morning - arrive in the 7-8am range, sail a couple hours at most.

Thanks Langdon. It was indeed a very fun morning. I lasted just a little longer, 2 hrs, 22 mikes in total. Alejo took the next shift at Vanns. Sounds like cool kids chose VP ?

Barrett was packing up when I arrived to VP.
Gene and I foiled on 5.2, 5.7’s but anything would have worked.

I windfoiled 4.7 at Galts. Worked very well from 1030-1130, then the rain killed the wind and flights were few and required a lot of effort. Haizer helped his friend (also named Randy) to learn to windsurf. It may have picked up as I was leaving about 1:45.

Arriving about 10AM, Mike & I windsurfed, and Gene foiled at VP. The wind out in the main channel was steady & strong. I was rigged right with a 7.0m sail windsurfing a 120L board. It was a great session with no rain and measured water temp of 71ºF (The Corps reported 57ºF water at the dam).

Dang, I didn't think this community was big enough for cliques. Lol
