Question for Cyclists

Has anyone done this ride? Not for me, my wife is interested. If so, any comments/suggestions would be helpful (esp. if it's like "it sucks don't go" or "it's great" or anything in between.)

Re: Question for Cyclists

Sounds like fun in good weather, but I've only biked on the Silver Comet Paved Bike trail.

Re: Question for Cyclists

I can’t imagine that wouldn’t be fun if you like camping and cycling.
I miss doing long charity rides.

I found this from 2018

Re: Question for Cyclists

Haven't done that ride but sounds similar to BRAG which I did a couple of times in the ancient days. The blurb does sound like it's all on the Comet since Rockmart is 37 miles from Nickajack Elementary (mile 0). The good news is that the parts from mile 15 on out are beautiful. Not that the parts further in are bad, but out there you are totally just riding in the woods. I've been as far as the tunnel which is about mile 30. Naturally, no steep hills but a few long but gradual grades. It feels a bit downhill on the way back so that'll help the second day when the muscles are a bit sore.

Sounds like a fun time.

I agree with all of the above, and if she likes that then I would recommend BRAG, which I have enjoyed in the past.

At that time of the year, and as a two time camper, consider the hotel option. Biggrin
