Racing at LLSC. Should be interesting (and humbling).

Ed, what forecast doesn't show NW 10-20/15-25? The ones I checked Windy all looked pretty consistent.

+1 confirmed around 12! for a cold windy session!
Considering Galts for flat water, is water level up?

Now they are getting closer. It was 10-17 and 16-26 yesterday morning. As always, bring all your gear.

Gotcha. My Atlanta standard for differing forecasts is wind vs not wind. Biggrin Yes, bring it all. I've even messed up on that one a few times. Maybe not bring it all but at least bracket the expected sail size with a larger and smaller.

JB - Allatoona looks just shy of 835 - about 5 ft below full pool https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/02393500/#parameterCode=00062&period=P7D

Thanks so much Webguy! How does 5ft below compare to the low level from October last year?

This page is good for that: https://allatoona.uslakes.info/Level/

This post was last Oct 8 when I was scraping bottom. Allatoona was 834.07 then. So, a bit better than early last fall. Today's rain will probably help a bit, too.

Anyone sailing tomorrow afternoon at Van Pugh? I plan to go if there’s company. Too cold to sail alone.

Live report at noon @VP

There are lots of small caps.
I do not see a lot of gusts

45 degrees.

I am going to eat some lunch here and maybe take a short nap.
Forecast is still for it to warm up a little more and blow a little harder

Well, that pretty much sucked. I don’t know why I bother with this sport with more frustrating days for me than many other sports that I am engaged in.
Time to focus on greener pastures ?.
‘Windfoil stuff for sale - cheap’ post coming up once I inventory my shit - ehm, I mean very good equipment that will be a steal for someone ?.

We all had a good time today. Maybe if you rig something bigger than 1.5 ? you would enjoy it too.
