Good blog post from Point 7 about cam vs. no cam. Some of it, of course, is specific to their line of sails but some good info to be gleaned all the same.

I'm wondering if I'll ever bother using cammed sails regularly on fins. I've thought about it, considered buying a used mach 3 with mast but held off. Don't have a real board to used it with.
Foiling though I love the cams in 7.0+. I can hold down way more sail in gusts and they just feel so great and stable until I inevitably have to pick them out of the water.
If my fin jibes were better I'd consider a real slalom board and sails but it'll be a while. Lots of money to spend on that and I'll get more TOW here with foiling gear. But I like the idea of having a bigger slalom sail than I'd have on an uncammed sail and just dealing with overpower instead of dealing with the lulls on a smaller uncammed sail. I'm just not there with skill.
Would be interesting to see a writeup on cammed vs uncammed foiling sails but I'm thinking the use is so different it may not make sense. 6.3 and below I'm using a bigger freeride wing and not trying to go super fast, so it's almost like a different sport. Maybe if there were larger uncammed freerace foiling sails but I dunno, seems like you lose a lot more on foiling. I've yet to use one of my big cheetahs on a race foil.
By the same token, everything below 6 is camless because, like you, it's for a different riding style. I guess that's the most important thing the article stresses - match the sail to your objectives, gear and conditions.
