Tues 1/31

Some hints of a light wind session from the GFS and HRRR of an 8-15 session tomorrow. The dots have disappeared for a moment but I 'm watching for an afternoon VP session.

Yep. Grand skunked. Unfortunately, my optimism sucked Mike into coming so we sat around and talked with Robert (who was driving by) and staring at perfectly glassy water. There was a bit of fog but zero boat traffic so the water was almost motionless and very clear. I could easily see 5-6 ft down without a problem. Big dome of cold air - the lake is creating a bit of a microclimate as it's much warmer going back down 985.

I decided to go out on the water just because it was such a rare set up. The almost still air let sound travel very far. I could hear what may have been coyotes from the other side of the lake and workmen talking over at Aqualand. Then I heard a voice back at Van Pugh talking on the phone. I could see the person then realized I recognized the accent. It was Gene and he took some neat pics - that or he was documenting my shame. Lol

Well, looking forward to Friday.
