Robert, thanks. That was one of the not so many times I flew today. Got optimistic because it was pretty stiff when I was rigging and put on a smaller wing. bzzzzzzzt. Wrong choice. It was really fun in the gusts but...
Anyway, I appreciate Hamdi for shaming me in going out today. It was quite pleasant in the mid-to upper 40s, sunny and nice to be on the water again. Great pics by Robert, as always.
fwiw, going from an 1100 to an 800 wing is a pretty big change in the required speed to take off and jibe. Sounds obvious but probably worth a sail size or more.
Edit: Sweet heavens to betsy. Took another look of the pic of both Hamdi and me. The guy on the walkway is about 3/4 mile from Van Pugh. My mom's stupid early 70s Instamatic (yay 110 film!) couldn't take a better pic if the guy was 7 ft away from it. Hard to believe.
Looks like I should... I wouldn't get there until 2 ish. I've turned into a bit of a weasel lately but I think I can survive 48.
* off. I'm getting old.
The fingers and toes just don't enjoy it as much.
Getting old?? Barrett, do you want to respond to webguy in that? Just joking guys, I get it, I am a wimp with the cold too 😀

The last photo is for Hamdi ...

Another photo of Chris P .
Haizer did well his first time foiling and being on a much shorter board than he was use to.
