Mackite reviews a walmart.com wing

They unbag and review a cheap wing bought from a seller on Walmart.com probably resold from one of the big Chinese sites.

haha. awesome.

clear-cut answers are difficult to come by these days, and so are enjoyable. especially when the verdict is: keep your money!!! (. . . and stay inside watching youtube when it's cold and raining!!!) Lol

Thanks, MACkiteboarding!

Jan 17 in Michigan and the water is liquid and no snow on the ground.

Seeing how flat the profile of the foil was, wondering if these were seconds that somebody thought they could make a buck on?

Only negative on the review is that they kept calling it the "Walmart" wing when it was just a reseller using Walmart.com. Not defending Walmart in general but they aren't responsible for this abomination. However, their point is taken - sometimes cheap crap is really that. Stick to people who stake their reputation on the goods they sell.

Well, you got my attention. I watched the video and price was $499. For the heck of it, I did a search and found a Naish wing for $444.

Just saying!

Yeah, it is kind of odd they did that video now, esp. since MacKite (and many other shops) have been selling wings for less than that price themselves. Calls into question their "you get what you pay for premise." So is the Slingshot wing I bought from them for less even worse? Or the $333 (3 for $1000) wings they were selling recently? Would have made more sense 3 or 4 years ago when wings were going for $800 on up if you could even get one..

Here is a link to a thread with low priced ($400-$500) including some name brand wings recently being sold. Check out kitboarding.com - seems like a fire sale going on.
