Thursday's forecast is looking good for west wind. (There's even a chance of sailing Wed. if the rain ends early.) Please help celebrate my 74th Birthday by joining me for an afternoon session at Van Pugh.

Watching late tomorrow with a bit more interest.
Watching afternoon on Wednesday. Those 10 degrees between 68 (Wed) and 58 (Thurs) are some of my favorite.
Instructions not clear. Was thinking you were referring to the 10 degrees back on the 24th. Like 10 degrees total. We've gone from deep freeze mid-winter to late spring in just a couple of weeks. Southern weather be wack sometimes. Then I see all the videos from Europe where it was about 60+ F over the New Year.
The picture below is from the "olden times"
Balmy and really nice if you had a foil and an 8 something sail. Barrett and i foiled. We were joined by Mike who was on a fin. Here's to hoping more can join us tomorrow for Barrett's b-day.

One of those days to remember when you complain the wind wasn't as much as forecast. Days like today is where they stash the extra wind. For all of us on bigger sails (6+) job well done.
Advertised 10-15 or so turned out to be 12-25+ at times. Very fun and still mild for the season. Hamdi, Chris P, Chris V (drive by), Alejo (did you end up kiting at Old Fed), Alan, Gene, Langdon, Al (winging) and the birthday boy himself, Barrett, who was handing out treats.
Nice turnout!

That was a lot of fun.
Started on 7m, not too much wind near shore but better past the island ( what is our name for that island?)
Saw a field of small whitecaps coming and went back to shore to change to something more comfortable.
I was briefly concerned that I had made a mistake rigging down to 5.2m.
After about 20 minutes I was no longer concerned

glad y'all had a good one!!! and good on ya for going for it (looks like I missed a better-than-advertised day on Hartwell too.
)
I suppose . . . "when in doubt...go sailing"
(

. . . ) ( this helps ease the pain
)
I like that. We should make bumper stickers.
Robert sent this photo - a much appreciated birthday gift !!!
