The Corps is reporting a water surface temperature at the dam of 38ºF. I brought an accurate dial thermometer and measured the water at 49ºF in the cove at Van Pugh Park. The Corps temperature is wrong. So Sunday was cold, but not that cold.
(To be sure I compared my thermometer to two others at home and they read the same.)

Measured 51º hull surface temp below the waterline in my boat. Gonna leave the fully charged battery on board.

Ice covering the camera housing?

I think I'm going to lay off the foil for a few weeks until the water gets warmer. I don't want to hit any frozen cod and break something.
