St. Thomas

Has anyone sailed there or know anything about it?
I will be there for family vacation next week and fx seems to call for 10-15 or 10-20 for a few of the days. Although sailing is not the focus, I might try to squeeze in some quick sessions if practical.

Re: St. Thomas

The Virgins were never really a big windsurfing destination (except for the HIHO races in the late 90s). Even when windsurfing was "the thing", rental gear was not very prevalent and often consisted of an old beat up board from the 80s. However, you might find someplace (maybe kite concession?) renting wing gear so it might be a good time to dip your toe into that pond. At least the water will be warm.

Have never been there but always seemed like a great place to go. Take your snorkel and fins for sure. Good

Re: St. Thomas

With the easterly trade winds being the norm, look for rental options on the east end of the island. A quick Google search reveals a few kitesurfing schools/outlets, and atleast one in red hook area may hold some promise for windsurfing gear (?). (And, of course, aside from windsurfing, if your schedule allows for a short day trip (by ferry) to St. John...that is certainly worth the little commute for it's all of it's less developed, natural appeals)
