1. Neil winging it.
2. Al up and foiling.
3. Neil & Chris P.
4. Chris carving jibe.
5. Neil powered up with 5.0m.
6. Neil in mid-jibe.
7. Haizar & Chris calling it a day, while Richard wings away from shore.
Great pics, Barrett! Super nice and not brutally cold 15-25 kind of day. Hope I remember everyone there - Barrett, Alan, Gene, Chris P., Haizar, Mike and me on the windfoil/surf side while Neil, Al, Roland and Rich did wing. Did I see Chris V. briefly in the parking lot? About a dozen windsporters out on a weekday at the end of November. Not bad at all.
It was a jumble of hands and a few touch downs but managed to duck a couple of jibes. Not pretty at all but I'm counting them. The third, however, was glorious in its total failure which saw me ejecting off the back. Oh well, a thousand more and I'll have them nailed.
Crispy looking day out there after a dark & stormy night
- Barrett fin jibe
- Alan S. foil jibe
- Somebody found the upwind gear
- Right of Way: tonnage wins
Man, that was so much fun. I probably only have 1 or 2 more sessions at Lanier before moving out of town. I will really miss the camaraderie with the Atlanta Crew. You are all super nice and genuine people who I have enjoyed getting to know over the last 2 1/2 years. I am hoping some of you will make the trip down to Florida and check out some spots near me. 80 degrees today with 20mph winds!! So there’s your incentive.
Regards Neil

You will be greatly missed. From those first sessions where you'd emerge from the water like a half-drowned puppy to ripping jumps and tacks yesterday- it's been a great journey that you shared with us. We'll be down to see you, no doubt.

Great pics. I believe that's Al way upwind. He told me he was using a new wing (1st gen Cabrihna Mantis iirc) that just absolutely scooted upwind. The tonnage slowed to an almost crawl up by the Three Sisters when the wind kicked in to a solid 25 when I was up there. Nice jibe by Barrett showing great form for those struggling with fin jibes. I'm the dot upwind of him.
A maybe for me for at VP 3:30ish
Bringing 8.0. Expect dogs to get blown off chains...

Planning on VP around lunchtime.
