Wed and Thur are looking like maybe, maybe. Let's see if something transpires. If it is anything, it'll be at the light edge of things. Big boards, sails, wings, kites, etc. But, better than nothing.
I just posted on the Facebook Page. Didn’t see this first. Be fun to know whether wind appeared at the lake today, after Gainesville Station reported 8-10k with some red dot gusts. It looks like Thursday might have self destructed, so maybe things will condense into tomorrow, Wednesday! I am probably going to give it a go at VP. I had a couple brutal paddles back to launch at Old Federal last time.
I think I was watching a guest at 12 mph.
It's way less than that now. Although William and Neal are still getting flight time it's not enough for me or a mystery Winger out in the water.
Emilio, Neil's friend, was the mystery winger. He's just starting out.
The two flyweights, Neil and I, had a really good time but the wind petered out and turned SW a bit so it was sketchy for a while until about a 10 minute pick up in wind got us home. Really, really fun.
Alan got out briefly but followed Gene to Old Fed to play with wings. Scott, Roland and Richard were there as I got out of the water to head home. I hope the late session paid off.
I got some decent rides at Van Pugh w/8.1 ….
Wind decreased by the time I got to Old Fed but did try a wing on my Jp foil board but after sanding a few layers of skin off my knees I switched to my iSUP (inflatable SUP not Apple SUP)
Maybe tomorrow, Tuesday? My NWS graph for Flowery Branch shows wind while the web page's Gainesville graph does not. Maybe Tues, Wed & Thur.

GFS is showing some west wind ahead of rain tomorrow early afternoon. Euro not as encouraging.
Today is looking iffy so far.

Weathercat dropped some dots on us. Going to waste some gas over the next few days chasing the dragon.
Meanwhile, the Midwest is getting crushed by rain. https://yaleclimateconnections.org/2022/07/record-rain-in-st-louis-is-what-climate-change-looks-like/

Anyone sailing Thursday?

Open to the idea but not free until afternoon.
I will try my luck at Old Fed. Plan to be there 11:30am.
Arrived Van Pugh. West breeze with a few caps @ 10:50AM.
Had 2 hours of good wind foiling with 8.0m sail, but had to leave just as Chris P. & William arrived.

Aiming for 1:30
