I use a Tahe Breeze. It 11’6 and 33 wide. I think 205L. I am just learning so only using 4.2 -5.2 m2 sails. It works great just a little heavy and awkward to carry for me. No falling off even in gusts, very stable.
For lake use, I'd be biased towards a model with centerboard or center fin. Much better upwind performance especially in lighter winds. Also helps if you use a wing on it.
Hard or inflatable ?
These were fun to windsurf and wide enough to paddle.
