Thursday's a Charm

Thursday, June 23rd, the NWS forecast is looking promising - sunny, NW 5-10 G20. It the Fx holds, I plan to sail in the afternoon at Van Pugh.

Not sure why G'ville is reporting 6-7.
I see more like 12+ in Oakwood (5 miles away from airport)

Re: Thursday's a Charm

There was no wind when I arrived about 2:15PM, but I'm glad I decided to rig my new Ezzy 8.0m Cross sail and wait. I was surprised that with the 8.0m sail, I could pump up on the foil with only a light breeze, with not even caplets in sight. Neil was also able to pump up on his foil using a 7.0m wing. Then the breeze bumped up a bit and Chris P., Roland & Langdon managed to foil, either continuously or on gusts.

Here are a couple of parting shots as I loaded up for the drive home.
