The dot forecast plus the relatively narrow band of rain suggests that this afternoon has the possibilities of being quite good. Presently, it seems clear on the sat images around Birmingham which is encouraging.
Classic Van Pugh (my preference) or Old Fed day.

Weird at VP, wind is all over the place.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Headed to Old Fed
Wind is shifting from south to west, Blowing from 8 to 30+. Gene, Z and I got frustrated and gave up but William just went back out.
I hope somebody took pics
It’s howling in town!
Robert took pics. Don't expect anything pretty. Just saw that Gilmer was reporting gusts 38 to 40. Feel better about myself.
It was blowing so hard my cheeks were flapping in the wind like a bulldog with his head out the car window. Swells coming back in were epic to ride.
Shout out to Mike who gave Z a ride home

Which cheeks are you referring to?

9m and 7m for the David's, crazy strong but onshore the whole evening!

Thanks for taking those Robert, You are a great photographer, videographer getting sharp images in those conditions.
Friday was the most frustrating day I’ve ever had on Lanier in a long long time!
Saturday was probably the best 4.7 foiling day I’ve had though.

What will it cost us for you to take some of those down...
I was watching one video thinking, I look pretty good. Yep. Uh. No. Oooof.
Z7V_3313E.mp4 for the curious. Yeah, some humiliation Friday.
Great pic of a friend, Byron Tobin, of the Lake Lanier Sail Rats and me
