Rhett and I are going to Vanns in the pm for the SE wind. If it's like the SE we had last week, expect gustiness. Thur, Fri and Sunday looking good again.
Current view from my mobile workspace in the camper.
We are at duckett mill campground of lake Lanier and not a leaf moving out there. Was more windy in the am.
When the wind comes, I am ready to launch at a whopping 6 ft from my desk ?. Good location for NE or SE from our campsite, likely need to drive 50 yards for NW/SW (tip of the peninsula). Until then, a kayak session in order for a mid-afternoon work break.

Are you under trees? Supposed to be pretty gusty tonight. Stay safe.

Love the pics.
Thank you William, we will try. We took down the awning and put away all loose items. Pic below shows our camper with camera facing S, where the wind is supposed to come from. We are a little down from the road and some big rigs, trees, and our car between our camper and wind direction. Short of a tree going down on us god forbid, I think there’s plenty in the way of wind shadows.
We got dinner in the camper -including desert- and a good Grisham book on tape; so hope to make the best of it.
We had all the same wind warnings over in Augusta, but it turned out an awesome foil day. Not nearly gnarly as last Saturday. Heck, we had 5 guys on the water (a huge crowd for here)!

Lester Ross caught some kite action at Vanns while he was out on his sailboat. Looks like Rhett on the water with the Hydra? Lester said the wind picked up after 6pm. I would have had to have left by then.
(as I'm typing this, can hear the wind outside)
Edit: may not go. this sounds like a PITA
ick...

Really, Weather Cat??!.....
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Some cats just like to watch the world burn.
I probably shouldn't have posted that. Now a tree might fall on my house. Weather Cat always wins in the end.....
