Meanwhile in UT - mid-trip report

Decent snow, more coming today-tomorrow.
Warm weather -spring skiing- most days last week, next week showing lower temps but not too bad for skiing.
Skied 6 consecutive days, hopefully on track to ski all 13 that we’re here. Generally 5-6 hrs/day, some groomers but mostly tree and mogul runs. So far, totaled 140miles downhill, maxing out at 41-45mph each day - must be slowing down in old age, far from my record of 54.6mph from 3 years ago ?.

I saw a weather report from Langdon as ‘yummy’ - that’s a first such report I know off. Glad my absence has brought the expected good luck to you all!

If you're skiing trees, mad respect. Did that a few times with a buddy who's a really good skier. I'm not a really good skier. Lol

Yes, a few yummy days have been had. We'll try to save you some wind for your return.

Great pics - reminds me of how much fun it is. Don't worry about your speed - you aren't slower, just wiser. Biggrin

Very much so. With warm weather -and old age I suppose-, I find that I am enjoying the lift rides up the mountain as much skiing down the mountain. Soaking up the vast Mountain views and doing a little slope side house hunting (just kidding, can only gawk at these) is a pleasure these days

Tree skiing is by far my favorite type of skiing - snow is typically less plowed & softer and you never feel like you have done the same exact thing twice (there is my adhd showing again).
I am a decent skier - In powder conditions, I can handle all single Diamond tree runs and some double Diamonds. In these conditions (harder snow, VW bug size moguls even in trees), I am sticking to single diamonds and doing ok. I had to good sense to pass on this yesterday —maybe after more snow this weekend??

Not yet. It hasn’t been windy though - fortunately for us.
