Winter Trip to Tampa Area

It's time to start discussing a trip to Tampa.
The past 2 or 3 years we have gone around MLK day (Jan 17) .
In the past we have kinda blocked out a week or so of our schedules so that we can do a forecast based trip rather than a calendar based trip. So far it has worked well with some of y'all having 3.7m kind of sessions on at least one of the days.

Fred Howard Park , Dunedin Causeway and The St. Pete Skyway Area are the usual launches.

I’ll be interested and would work out perfect for me if it is the week of 17th to 23rd as I have to be in Tampa on Jan the 22nd.

Re: Winter Trip to Tampa Area

I have some calendar based trips planned for FL and thought I would chime in and list a couple here in case anyone is down that way around then - if so, let me know:
Dec 19-24, Clearwater
Jan 9-15, Tomoka state park (btw St. Augustine and Daytona)
Feb 6-10, Big Lagoon state park, near Pensacola
Feb 26-3/12 Park city, UT - oops, wrong sport but if anyone is into skiing, should be just as much fun as foiling (IMHO) ?

More after that -about once a month- but I doubt that most people plan that far ?. Trips shift north and higher elevation as temps rise, more hiking and mtn biking oriented probably.

I should be in. I'll check the family schedule this evening but nothing seems to be conflicting at the moment. Probably depends on how well I do dinner so I better get to work on it. Biggrin

Dinner was a winner. I'm in. Actually, she already had plans with girlfriends for that weekend so, by default, I was in whether dinner was good or not. I'll live with my fantasy that it was edible and that it swung the deal. Secret

I'll be in Tarpon Springs over Christmas/New Years and hope to meet up with Hamdi and anyone elsle in the area then. I'll probably head back down for the mid January trip depending on the wind forecast, etc.
