Saturday - West Point Desperation?

Looks like about 8 degrees warmer than Lanier and possible SE (good direction there sailing from across the dam). It's about 20 minutes further for a lot of us but warmer and flat water make up for a lot.

Anyone else interested?

No dots yet but watching: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=32.9799&lon=-85.1743&unit=0&lg=english&FcstType=graphical
GFS is more encouraging. Lake is aboiut 5 ft down which is normal this time of year despite everything coming downstream from Lanier.

Going to wait until Monday and go local. GFS encouraging, Euro not.

Maybe a bike ride in the pm. Will be interesting to see the readings and see if we missed anything.

Judging from the readings at the Lagrange airport, I saved a good bit of gas today and got some work at home. Sometimes, you really don't miss it if you don't go, I guess. Well, sights on to the next promising day on the horizon.

Edit: Lester Ross posted some pics on LLSail Rats group on FB. Some of the keelboats were healing over this afternoon and there were ruffles on the water. Color me surprised.

Edit, edit:
Shok
"Lester Ross Author
Yes. It picked up, started seeing whitecaps and measured one sustained gust at 16.5 knots on my handheld anemometer. It was a little gusty, but more then that it was shifty around three sisters and Aqualand."

Yes there was wind at the lake Saturday, at least on the early shift. I have to admit I was surprised to see so many fishermen out in the subfreezing weather early in the day.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
