My experience - I sailed once in below freezing temps at Lake Lanier. Unlike salt water, fresh water freezes at 32ºF, so the top of my board iced up & I slipped off. The worst was having my sail freeze to the mast. When I tried to de-rig I couldn't get the sail off the mast, so I had to take the sail back down to the Lake, dip it in the water to thaw the ice, then slip the sail off. 34ºF is now my limit.
I remember when you started your car you said it was 33degrees. I asked you why there was ice running down my sail while being rolled up
Today was about 70 And breeze was about 14 or so in Melbourne fl
Damn that looks COLD.

Yeah, seeing his board sitting on top of the snow was enough for me. I have a gentle constitution and that was about my limit.
People ask me if we like cold water when I tell them we windsurf all winter. I tell them I hate cold water. I just love windsurfing more.
