Any word about today? Thinking about going out there about 1pm Forecast says sunny, 60degrees and 8-12
In.
Temps be dropping as the day goes by but we should get a decent breeze as the day progresses and it should lay down nicely (I hope) around 4ish. I wouldn't be surprised to see some 12-18 for a bit. Nice that it's winter so you can roll up to VP at 3 and not worry about a parking spot.
Etch-a-Sketch kind of day. 5.4 on Foil. Barret was on 8.5/fin and pretty well lit. Tony and Roland winged on 7s and Haizar shook the cobwebs out of a new to him Ezzy. Nice 12-20+ kind of day.
Gene elected to go to Old Fed so the rest of us rigged down a size as soon as he left. (Just kidding)
William gave a good report. My additional comment is that conditions exceeded the forecast. I stuffed my iPhone in my wetsuit and was surprised to have a top speed of 26.7mph, and warm enough to not need a hood or mittens.
…And William was impressively nailing those foiling jibes.
I was thinking of trying Sunday afternoon. NW= VP I assume. Looks like after lunch might be best but share thoughts. Roland was thinking of going too.
Thinking going after lunch too.
Anybody have any thoughts today, Sunday 19th. Forecast looks pretty iffy. Who has the crystal ball?

Thanks bud! I appreciate the info. I'll see you out there

I plan to arrive around 2PM when the NWS forecasts wind to pick up. All models show a dead zone East of the Lake, so it's an iffy forecast.

Live report. Wind sw. Caps out in the channel. Looks like an awesome afternoon.
Traffic was a b*tch though.

Gene kept us lonely kiters company. Wind was awesome, sun was out, great day!!!
Someone got a video of you and Alejo (I presume was your partner in crime?) waiting for Gene to show up
Rogier, I think this is your Reedin? From the LLSailRats FB group and a very nice Lester Ross
Edit: Lester is now a member of our FB group and posted all the pics late last night: https://www.facebook.com/groups/windsportatlanta/posts/6647848211923827/ Sail Rats is a private group so a lot of you wouldn't have been able to see them.
It was a good day at Old Federal, foiled on 5.7 and smaller foil (Time Code 68.) Wind reading on beach was a gust of 18.2 mph and average of 15.
