Week outlook 12-13 to 18

So far, the oracles are suggesting maybe a Wed morning east session and light wind sessions Friday and Saturday. Looks like a fair and mild week good for outside cardio but not so good for wind sport.

But, maybe the oracles are stoned from the vapors as usual.

Edit: And the last week of shortening days. I look forward both to my increased vitamin D levels and the lessening of the late afternoon sun in my eyes at Van Pugh.

I hope they have missed the forecast and we get at least one good wind day thus week.
I am becoming more and more reluctant to wear neoprene AND rig a 8.2m.

I don't think you will get much vitamin D wearing a wetsuit.

You do if you put off repairing the rips and tears.

Euro stil says no for early tomorrow while GFS/NAM say yes.

Weathercat (NWS graphical hourly forecast) has dots and when has Weathercat ever been wrong. Hint: if you said a number smaller than a hundred you haven't lived in Atlanta very long. Lol

I'm thinking Vanns so I can do some work in Gainesville afterwards.

I was thinking about giving Vanns a go tomorrow morning around 10-10:30am. Rich was also thinking about going and giving his new Wingboard another flight. Rich is now armed with a 6.5m Wing, Armstrong 2400, and a Quattro Drifter Board. He’s well outfitted! Hope to see you tomorrow

Considering going to Vanns around 2PM but wondering if it will be worth it and if somebody else would be there. Please let me know.

We’ll, 7.6 wasn’t more than what I needed but maybe -just maybe?- I had 2 bottom panels useless the entire hour. My tape job did not hold, giving way the first ride (30sec into my session) out. I turned around, intending to switch to 6.4 but got on the foil again pretty quickly, laziness and engineering curiosity kicked in, and decided to stick with it. Pretty decent amount of rides, about 8miles in the hour I was out - not bad, considering bottom panel totally shot and the one above seemed maybe 30% effective.

This holds true most of the time: https://windsportatlanta.com/wiki/East_Wind_Effect

Plus, today, the dot forecast only showed wind in the morning. Generally, unless the forecast is quite strong, it's overcast or other specific exception, we treat east winds as morning sessions.

Looking like maybe Sat before the rain (SW) and Sunday after (NW-NNW) Not a strong forecast so warm up those pumping muscles.

Sat location TBA, Sunday Van Pugh for me most likely.
