Lots of very SW wind in front of a cold front and line of showers. Different models have the rain coming in from 1 to 5 pm. Temps from 60-65.
Hartwell has come up in conversation but not sure if there's enough of a gap to the rain to make it worth the extra hour's drive.

I do not think there is. Earlier forecasts had Lanier with a 10g40 (not too enjoyable for me) but now it's starting to look like maybe 10g22.
I will probably just stay local. Maybe OF, maybe Vanns unless there is a better suggestion.

This is kind of how I feel about Saturday:
What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Love those big budget music videos Catchy tune !
May be a sailing club kind of day– catch a few rides and retreat to the porch to watch the weather come in?
Warm, humid and breezy always gives me an unsettled feeling. Throw in a low level jet stream and it's tornado weather.
I, too, get uneasy when I see that set up, especially in spring. More than once, enjoyed a nice, warm SW day only to read afterwards that somebody in AL got absolutely boxed by a tornado.
Chris - Do you want company at LLSC? Latest Fx shows AM SW wind & only light precipitation before 2PM.

Unless things look bad in the morning, aiming for 9a but yous can precede me.

Can we bring anything?
Van Pugh scratches filled and sanded. Ready to roll.
Heading up - hope to get some sailing before it gets to be over my ability
Looks iffy at 8a - stubborn wedge I guess

In route
At LLSC, gate was open. Pretty calm at the moment- a capable and adventurous light weight with a large sail might make the foil work but I am none of those things or have a large sail at the moment.
Picking up - waffling between 5.7 and 4.7
I had fun
Me too. 4.7 was a little small for the conditions at times - 5.7 would have been better given how the day unfolded- but all in all, I did ok. Missed pretty much everyone at the shore other than Barrett briefly but my timing went well otherwise - got home just as the rain was picking up.
Thanks again for the invite Chris - always a great time at LLSC,
A BIG thanks to Chris for inviting us to the Sailing Club where the SW wind was on-shore.
I arrived at the right time to have major fun windsurfing with a 7.0m sail & 120L board. This was a 70ºF morning in mid December!!! The clouds even parted to reveal pure sunshine ! Most of us came ashore in time to stow gear before a strong gust front brought pounding rain.
Photos taken at the end of a great session.
