Had a great hour wind-foiling before coming in for a Zoom call. Sailed 6.7m & big 1100 Moses foil. Thought I was avoiding traffic by rushing to leave at 3:45PM, but no, I-285 was already stop & go. Still, so glad to be out on water with y’all.
Looking at the 5 minute reports from Gilmer, I don't think I ever saw anything above 12 or 13 but it felt like that for an hour or so we were getting 10-18 on the water.
I really like these days around 4-4:30 when the wind settles down and, since there's almost no traffic out there, it's absolutely flat out. Had a blast practicing jibes just bending into them over and over and sussing out my crappy outside jibe. And there was always enough wind to crank back upwind a bit to bend into another one. It was a very nice feeling being out there.
I’m rigged at VP. Some caps, W. 46F.

Would you post a link to the Gilmer 5min report.
I looked at the NOAA Gainesville 3 day history and it showed a bunch of 7’s and 8’s. I knew it was better than that.

The link to the 48 hour history on the weather tab on the front page. Once there, look at the top menu for 5 minute observations.

Yeah, way too many whitecaps for it to be 12.
