In 2017, during the Salt and Speed, a speed sailing event held in Salin-de-Giraud, France, Caizergues smashed his own sailboarding record.
According to the World Sailing Speed Record Council (WSSR), the wind sports athlete sailed at 57.97 knots (107.36 kilometers per hour) over 500 meters.
In other words, he is the fastest sailboarder on the planet, a category that mainly involves kiteboarders and windsurfers.
Above him, there's only one player - Vestas Sailrocket 2.
Vestas Sailrocket 2 is a high-performance B-division sailing yacht designed and piloted by Australian sailor Paul Larsen.
On November 24, 2012, the super boat sailed at 65.45 knots (121.21 kilometers per hour) over 500 meters in Walvis Bay, Namibia.

wait a minute! so is that foil gonna be "inversed" !!??? Like a tiny claw, desperately hanging on to the water?
at some point soon (if not already being done)...it seems like underwater "deer whistles" are gonna be in order to warn off all the innocent tripping hazards swimming around out there (for everyone's sake.)
At 80 kts, that little "claw" is going to be creating a crap load of pressure. Nico Goyard uses a 350cm2 wing for his high speed runs. That's about the size or smaller than most of the stabs we use on our foils.
A lot of foils make their own deer whistles. Watch any of the AC videos of American Magic. That boat's foil whistled like a banshee. It's the high pitch whistling in the background here. But, yeah, hitting anything underwater at those speeds will be a problem. There's plenty of videos of people hitting fish and stuff and going over the handlebars. Don't know if a fish would actually know what to do with the sound, though. OTOH, you could probably just drive behind this and collect the sashimi that floats to the surface.
