Re: Anybody braving the cold Saturday morning 11/20
Every Forecast I am looking at indicates a drop starting around 1:00pm. Temps will be chilly so I probably will only stay for a couple hours at best…so I am thinking 10:15am at Vanns Tavern.

Re: Anybody braving the cold Saturday morning 11/20
I’m up for sailing at Van Pugh if I have company. Too cold to sail alone & must be home by 1PM. Anyone else up for sailing/winging at VP Saturday morning?
Re: Anybody braving the cold Saturday morning 11/20
Vanns for me. Yes, it does have a shadow by the shore but VP has a shadow in the middle and you have to get past it to get to the main channel. I've consistently found the wind to be more consistent out of Vanns as well as the fetch is long.

I’m helping on race committee for A-cats tomorrow so will probably be set up towards Vanns with camera. Stop by. I’ll be the one bundled up like an Eskimo on one of the Whalers.

We saw a couple of those guys out Wed and they were flying (figuratively, looked like non-foiling versions). I tried to keep up all the way back to the LLSC. Say hello to our fellow windsporters for us.

Awesome session at Vanns, Maybe 12-17K. Some little rolling chop that was fun to play on. About 5 kites, Dave & Dave, Langdon, Rich, Sam, and I. Not as cold as I thought, sun helped. Needed the thin gloves to keep wind off hands, no boots.

Probably me, Probably Vanns Tavern.
10:30am to numbness
Ok. So Vanns is the spot tomorrow? Good to know

I would not be opposed to going to West Point ( If they have water in their pond, checking...) for 5 degrees warmer
Nah... Vanns got more wind

Educate me, I thought VP is not the place in an East wind? Is VP still a good option for an Easterly?
I am up for anything and I would rather have company if everyone is going to VP.

Yes, in my experience, Van Pugh is good with NE & East wind. I've found there's a wind shadow with NE wind at Vanns.

They both are sailable on east/ne.

Cold, it's D#*% cold. (At least the sun is shining)
Lots of caps
Nice shot Langdon. Water looks blue like the ocean.
Arrived at Van Pugh. White-capping.
