Thur Fri 9 and 10

Both Euro and GFS are encouraging. GFS holding hope through Sat but Euro isn't. With football season in full swing, weekend sessions are a bit more inviting.

They call those the GWH models now for the Great Wind Hope.

Friday doesn't look as good but I'm thinking that a morning easterly is a good chance.

I'm getting some plumbing work done on Friday, so the odds just went up for you.

Yay …finally stars aligned and I am camping at the lake (OF campground, later today thru sat) when there is chance of some wind. I can post live reports any of those days - site right on the water with good access i think (based on pics & map). ?

PS: BIG thanks Randy!!

Any day camping is a great day! Maybe beginner luck but We have honestly loved every campground/site we had so far. Having said that, between temps coming down a little, rain out of the FX as of later today, and some wind in the FX, this has the potential to be exceptional. And first time trying our pizza oven at camping - 932F, 2 min bake for perfect Neopolitan pizza while camping - how can it get any better? Site 63, bring your own dough unless you’re first to arrive (I think we have 1 extra dough). ?

Yeah, you heat it up to full power for ~15min and then turn it down to midway before putting the pizza in. And you rotate it every 20-25sec. Max 2 min. Fun and tasty

Thur: Lunchtime at Van Pugh. I'm bringing toys and leftovers for lunch.

Fri: TBD I'm still holding out hope for a light easterly in the morning.

Crack of dawn report from LLSC - white caps starting, plenty for foiling (not quite so at LLSC but true at our camp site, which is facing north with main channel to our west). Where is everybody - I looked all over ? ?

Hamdi, that pizza oven looks awesome! I just spent the last hour checking their website out. It’s going on my wish list.

They had a pretty good sale last Christmas, which is when my neighbor got it. I didn’t get to taste pizza from it until recently (party at the Neighbour) and couldn’t hold off till next Christmas- turns out patience is not a virtue of mine in anything ?

Re: Thur Fri 9 and 10

11am update from OF campground: lots of white caps, in ~5.5 sail range for foiling at the moment. I am still working -not on the water-, which is taking a lot of self discipline (uncharacteristically :)).

Parking lot at van pugh. Paralyzed with indecision. I have no clue what to rig. Water looks 8-12 but wind is straight onshore and feels more like 10-15.
In the old days I'd rig the 9.5 but can't figure out what to do on the foil 8 or 5.4
